Then, just yesterday, the strawberry that has been growing and ripening up and we've just been waiting for it to turn all red...finally was ripe! The kids were so excited (and this is just one strawberry). We also clipped off some more spinach and chives to use with dinner last night...oh, they were yum! Anyway, we cut the one strawberry into 4 pieces and each ate them at the same time. Guess what? It tasted just like.....a STRAWBERRY!
{THE strawberry, ain't it a beauty?}
Well, we're having such fun. [Yes, I totally just admitted to enjoying the garden] And we're hoping that everything else just grows like it's supposed to.

Kevin and I were just talking about where we could put a garden in our back yard. What are you growing yours in?
Growing up, my parents always had a garden and the veggies always tasted sooooo much better than you can get in the store! Congrats on your harvest!
Those BLUE things are used food barrels cut in half. We bought them from a salsa co. that was selling them cheap and then John cut them and drilled holes for drainage. You have to do something different because the soil in AZ stinks.
I don't know about you, Deb, but I prefer WalMart's produce.
Seriously, I want a garden. When we redo our backyard I am making a space to do that. Then, I will be calling you. :)
